What happens when the Batmobile konks out and the bad guys are getting away? The Dynamic Duo must hoof it through the streets as best they can. Good thing they had their MP3 players along for the ride.
Above are our good friends Rob (Robin) and Ed (Batman) running the 1/2 Marathon in Grand Rapids on Oct 28th. Rob and Ed have been best buddies since waaay back in high school when, in their senior year, they similarly dressed up as Batman & Robin and surprised everyone by sneaking up onto the roof of their high school (back before that would get you suspended and possibly arrested). There is a great picture of them up on the roof that got put into their school year book. This year, both turning 40, they decided to run either a full or half marathon (either Detroit or GR) in costume, since both races were the weekend before Halloween. The wives even got the grandparents to take the kids for the morning so they could see their superhero husbands sprint around the city without distraction.
In honor of Ed’s 40th birthday today, I thought you should all see him in his pumped-up muscle-y best. Way to go guys and happy birthday, Ed!
